High Octane Monday

The final Premier League match of this weekend sees Arsenal travel to relegation threatened Crystal Palace.

With both teams needing the points for different reasons and it being a local derby, expect fireworks from this match.

Team News

Sam Allardyce has an injury crisis on his hands with 11 players set to be ruled out.

Arsenal have Emiliano Martinez in goal after Petr Cech and David Ospina were ruled out with calf and back injuries respectively.

Francis Coquelin will return after missing the midweek win over West Ham, due to a personal issue.

Laurent Koscielny won’t be at Selhurst Park with an Achilles concern but will return before April is over.

Doom and Gloom?

With a nightmare run in, this is the sort of game where the Eagles need to cause a shock.

They however haven’t beaten Arsenal under Arsene Wenger in the Premier League era, making this a hellish task.

Allardyce’s record against the Gunners is no better with nine defeats in their last ten meetings.

Looking at those stats, you be mad to bet against the Gunners here.

Strong end for Gunners?

Arsenal have often finished the season strong, even when it seemed that they would miss out on Champions League qualification.

The midweek victory surely points to another strong close to this season. Arsenal might have Tottenham and Manchester United to face in the final few weeks but momentum will be key here.

Prediction

It has to be an away victory all day long with a clear win.

Oliver Giroud has scored on his last three visits to Selhurst Park so expect another tonight.

Palace got a squad crisis making this a tough ask as we draw closer to the season’s end.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Arsenal

Result: Crystal Palace 3-0 Arsenal
