Premier League Abandons PPV Model as Remainder of November Fixtures are Confirmed

Premier League have scrapped the Pay-Per-View (PPV) model with all TV fixtures for rest of November now confirmed.

In a statement, Premier League confirmed that all four broadcasting partners with support of clubs will instead televise fixtures live in the UK until January, in a move which sees TV coverage revert to the Project Restart method of ensuring all games were televised.

This approach has been described as an ‘accessible solution for fans’ due to hectic schedules of fixtures throughout December and early January.

Clubs will meet in the New Year to review this arrangement in consultation with broadcasters and any decisions made by UK Government in concerns to return of fans to stadiums.

In mean time, full fixture broadcast details has been confirmed for the next two rounds with December and January TV selections to be unveiled in due course.

Amongst chosen additional matches include Liverpool vs Leicester on Sky Sports on 22 November whilst BBC will screen Fulham’s match against Everton earlier that day at 12pm.

Amazon will meanwhile broadcast Crystal Palace’s match against Newcastle United on Friday 27 November at Selhurst Park in a 8pm kick-off.
