Manchester City Drawn Away to Arsenal in 2020-21 Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals

Reigning Carabao Cup champions, Manchester City have been drawn away to Arsenal in 2020-21 Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals.

City will visit Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium as Citizens manager, Pep Guardiola prepares to take on his former assistant, Mikel Arteta in a second consecutive cup competition, after Arsenal knocked Man City out of last season’s FA Cup in July before going on to win that competition.

City comfortably defeated Burnley to reach the last eight for a fifth time in six seasons whilst the Gunners prevailed 5-4 on penalties over Liverpool following a goalless draw at Anfield.

This clash also represents a rematch of the 2018 Final which the Citizens comfortably won 3-0 at Wembley in the last final which Arsenal reached under Arsene Wenger before his departure at end of that season.

Manchester United face a tough 32.9 mile trip to Goodison Park to take on a resurgent Everton team who have already knocked out fellow Premier League opposition, having dumped West Ham United out of this competition in a 4-1 home win in the fourth round.

Having claimed a third consecutive Premier League scalp, Brentford have been rewarded with a competitive home tie against Newcastle United at the Brentford Community Stadium after the Magpies needed penalties to edge past Newport County in a tense fourth round clash at Rodney Parade.

Finally, Stoke City will welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the BET365 Stadium after having knocked out last season’s finalists, Aston Villa in the Fourth Round whilst Spurs defeated London rivals, Chelsea on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

All four Quarter-Final ties will be played across the week commencing 21 December 2020 and televised exclusively live on Sky Sports, with exact scheduling details to be confirmed in due course.
