English Football League have confirmed full fixture details for the Fourth Round of this season’s Carabao Cup, with five matches chosen for live coverage.
Tottenham Hotspur received a bye after their Third Round away tie against Leyton Orient was forfeited by the latter due to positive Coronavirus tests despite being chosen for live Sky coverage, which means that Sky Sports are permitted live coverage of five matches in this round.
Spurs will therefore kick off the round at home to Chelsea on Tuesday 29 September in a 7:45pm BST kick-off live on Sky Sports, as Frank Lampard comes up against his former Blues manager – Jose Mourinho.
Sky will then broadcast Newport County’s mouth-watering tie against Newcastle United at Rodney Parade in a 5:30pm kick-off on Wednesday 30 September, before transmitting Manchester United’s trip to Brighton from 7:45pm that same evening.
Brentford will meet Fulham in a rematch of last season’s Championship Play-Off Final as the Bees welcome the Cottagers to the Brentford Community Stadium in a 5:30pm start on Thursday 1 October, live on Sky Sports.
Sky will then bring the Fourth Round to a blockbuster conclusion as Liverpool take on Arsenal at Anfield, just three days after they meet in the Premier League on Monday Night Football.
The clash at Anfield will also mark the second consecutive season in which both teams have met at this stage at same venue, following the Reds’ penalty shootout triumph last season after a thrilling 5-5 draw.
Out of the three untelevised matches, only Everton’s home tie against Everton on 30 September will kick-off at 7:45pm, with Burnley’s clash against Manchester City kicking off 45 minutes earlier at 7pm.
Aston Villa meanwhile will host Stoke City in a Midlands derby with kick off confirmed for 7pm on 1 October.
