2019-20 Sky Bet Championship: Week 20 – Friday

Millwall look to continue their push for the Championship Play-Offs as they welcome promotion chasing Nottingham Forest to The Den.

A win for the Lions will lift them to tenth whilst Forest could move above Fulham into third with victory.

Ryan Leonard won’t be available for Millwall due to an on-going rib injury.

Shane Ferguson and Shaun Hutchinson are ruled out with undisclosed injuries, alongside Tom Elliott (hamstring) and Jason McCarthy (toe).

Frank Fielding meanwhile is close to making a return from a thigh injury but isn’t expected to feature this weekend.

Nottingham Forest are without Carl Jenkinson and Samba Sow due to insufficient fitness after recent ankle and hamstring injuries respectively.

Yuri Ribeiro (knee) is also sidelined but Ryan Yates is available after serving a three match ban.

Form

Millwall are unbeaten in their last four matches with two wins and draws apiece, although they have kept just one clean sheet in their last seven home games.

Forest saw a four game unbeaten run ended last weekend by Cardiff, but are unbeaten in their last three away trips (W2, D1).

Stat Attack

  • Millwall are unbeaten in three of their last four meetings with Nottingham Forest (W2, D1, L1).
  • The Lions have kept clean sheets in their last two home games against Forest, of which they won 2-0 in March 2018 then 1-0 in last December respectively.
  • Forest are unbeaten in three league trips to London so far this season with seven points (W2, D1).

Prediction

Millwall are showing progress under Gary Rowett but I am expecting Forest to give them a tough game, particularly given how strong they have been this season in terms of solidness.

The Den however was bit of a hoodoo for Forest in 2018 but this time, I can’t see another defeat so am going for a draw if Millwall can continue to show their new-found attacking quality.

Prediction: Millwall 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Result: Millwall 2-2 Nottingham Forest
