After relegation from the Premier League this summer, Huddersfield and Fulham both made slow starts to life back in the Championship as they collide once more at the John Smith Stadium.
Huddersfield are currently 19th in the table whilst Fulham are 11th and a win for either side will lift them into the top ten ahead of the weekend.

Huddersfield will have Juninho Bacuna available after the midfielder completed the entirety of Tuesday’s cup defeat to Lincoln without any recurrence of a calf injury.
Jan Siewert however will rotate his squad after resting several regulars in their midweek Carabao Cup defeat, with Tommy Elphick and Karlan Grant amongst those set to return to the starting eleven.
Fulham have a full squad available and new signing, Josh Onomah could make his first appearance here.
Huddersfield come into this still searching for their first victory of the season, having suffered their second loss in three games after losing at home to Lincoln City on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup.
League wise, the Terriers have picked up just a single point so far, drawing 1-1 with QPR after losing their opener 2-1 against Derby but Karlan Grant scored penalties in both outings.
Fulham meanwhile enter this game with one win and loss from their opening two matches, although they did lose their opener away at Barnsley to a Luke Thomas first-half goal.
- Huddersfield have won just one of their last four meetings with Fulham (W1, L3).
- At home, the Terriers have taken just four points from their last five meetings with Fulham.
- This is the third consecutive meeting in which Huddersfield have faced a third different Fulham manager.
This is a key early test for both clubs because we will find out who is better equipped to potentially mount a challenge for automatic promotion, and who needs to possibly plan for their long-term future beyond this season.
Fulham had a full week to prepare for this game but after their embarrassing Carabao Cup exit to Lincoln, I am expecting a reaction from Huddersfield here so am going for a draw if the Terriers don’t tire late on.
Prediction: Huddersfield Town 1-1 Fulham
Result: Huddersfield Town 1-2 Fulham
