Gonzalo Higuaín is ruled out for Chelsea as he recovers from illness.

Dynamo Kiev will be without the suspended Vitaliy Buyalskyi for this clash, as Fran Sol remains out injured.

Benjamin Verbic is also sidelined after tweeting this morning that he is suffering from illness.

Stat Attack

  • Chelsea’s one and only trip to Dynamo Kiev ended in a 0-0 draw in October 2015.
  • In only two competitive trips to Ukrainian clubs this century, Chelsea are yet to win (D1, L1).
  • Dynamo Kiev have advanced from their last two Europa League ties which they lost the first leg away, including against Everton in 2014-15 season.

Chelsea have to be really careful here because we have seen Dynamo ruthlessly overturn first leg leads before on home soil.

The state of the pitch however will be enough to prevent any real danger here for Chelsea, who should safely pull through with a draw.

Prediction: Dynamo Kiev 1-1 Chelsea

Result: Dynamo Kiev 0-5 Chelsea (Chelsea win 8-0 on aggregate)
