After playing out a 1-1 draw just over a week ago at St James Park, both sides experienced contrasting fortunes in the capital this weekend.
Whilst Blackburn are comfortable in Championship, they can enjoy a solid cup run, Newcastle need to use this competition as a platform to motivate their Premier League survival bid.
Well the Toon Army are in luck here because these sides have contested three FA Cup replays with Newcastle winning on all three occasions.
Rovers however are a solid side who will push Newcastle all the way so I am going for another draw here with Blackburn to win on penalties.
Prediction: Blackburn Rovers 1-1 Newcastle United (Blackburn to win on penalties)
Result: Blackburn Rovers 2-4 Newcastle United AET
This could be a cracker because Luton have suffered just one defeat in their last 13 against Sheffield Wednesday, and have progressed from five of their last seven replays.
The Owls meanwhile will be hurting after Saturday’s 3-0 beating at Hull and have scored in just one of their last five FA Cup games. Now for a Championship side, that is a real worry but with promotion unlikely this season they should treat this competition seriously.
I however am going for a Luton win given their impressive home record with just one defeat all season, because Wednesday have serious issues to sort out across the pitch.
Prediction: Luton Town 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday
Result: Luton Town 0-1 Sheffield Wednesday
Having sacked Gary Rowett last week, Stoke will be hoping to provide new manager, Nathan Jones with his first home win against a Shrewsbury side who are fighting for League One survival.
This tie finished 1-1 in original clash but given the quality gulf and fact that the Potters have lost just once at home against the Shrews, I am going for a home win.
Prediction: Stoke City 2-0 Shrewsbury Town
Results: Stoke City 2-3 Shrewsbury Town
