Leeds United displaced Norwich at top after beating second bottom, Bolton Wanders through a Patrick Bamford effort, whilst the Canaries could only draw 2-2 at Bristol City. 

Marco Stiepermann put the Canaries ahead with a curler after 39 minutes, only for Famara Diedhiou to equalise six minutes later to restore parity at half-time. 

Callum O’Dowda then put the Robins ahead eight minutes into second half, before Max Aarons headed in Onel Hernandez’s cross 12 minutes from time to secure a point apiece. 

West Brom displaced Sheffield United for third after coming from behind through Harvey Barnes and Kieran Gibbs to cancel out David McGoldrick’s opener for the Blades.

The result meant that United drop to fifth following Derby’s goalless draw with seventh placed Nottingham Forest.

Middlesbrough meanwhile sit sixth despite losing 2-1 at QPR but the pack are closing in on the Teessiders, as the Hoops sit 13th on 31 points and one of four teams currently five points behind the final Play-Off spot . 

Blackburn and Birmingham are just above QPR after playing out a 2-2 draw at Ewood Park, whilst Stoke are also hunting down that point as they also clinched a draw after twice blowing their lead against eighth placed Aston Villa.

Swansea occupy ninth after a quick-fire double helped them see off Sheffield Wednesday, who initially took the lead through Marco Matias before Bersant Celina and Wayne Routledge struck back for the Swans.

Elsewhere, bottom placed Ipswich ended their nine match winless run with a 1-0 home win over Wigan after Freddie Sears struck midway through second half. 

Hull comfortably saw off Brentford with a first half double from Frazier Campbell to win 2-0. 

Finally, Rotherham held Reading to a 1-1 draw as the Royals moved out of relegation zone at Millwall’s expense after falling to a 3-2 defeat at Preston.
