Racing Point Force India have announced Lance Stroll as their second driver for 2019.
Stroll is ‘excited to embrace this new opportunity’ as he joins from Williams on a long-term deal, partnering Sergio Perez.
Team Principal, Otmar Szafnauer has described Lance’s arrival as the ‘perfect blend of youth, talent and experience.’ whilst believing that Force India ‘can create an environment in which he can flourish.’
Szafnauer has also placed his thanks to the departing Esteban Ocon who will be Mercedes’ reserve next season, saying; I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Esteban Ocon for his contribution to the team over the last two seasons and wish him well for the future.
Confirmation of Stroll’s move to Force India now completes the lineup for the 2019 Formula One season.
