This month’s international action concludes at Hampden Park as Scotland meet Israel in a winners-take-all promotion showdown in Group C1.
Scotland produced a stunning display to break Albania’s hearts on Saturday, leaving Israel standing between the Tartan Army and League B.
Only victory will do for the Scots otherwise Israel will instead be promoted with a draw or win.
Scotland could name an unchanged side from Saturday’s 4-0 win in Albania, with Callum Paterson once again at right-back.
Uncapped midfielder, John Fleck is also in contention after joining up with the squad on Sunday after an injury crisis saw nine players withdraw before Saturday.
Israel’s team news is unclear at time of publication.
- Scotland’s three match unbeaten run against Israel came to an end last month when they lost 2-1 in Haifa.
- Scotland won their only previous home meeting with Israel 3-1 in April 1981.
- Ryan Fraser has been involved in 13 goals from 16 appearances for Bournemouth and Scotland so far this season (five goals and eight assists).
- Scotland have lost just one of last 12 competitive home matches (W8, D3, L1).
Scotland were just outstanding against Albania, particularly when Ryan Fraser had the ball down left.
If we can see more of that quality here then I can see only one result.
Prediction: Scotland 2-0 Israel
Result: Scotland 3-2 Israel (Scotland are PROMOTED to League B!!!)
