After Sheffield United’s goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday in the Steel City derby last night, Leeds United can either return top of Sky Bet Championship or stretch their lead with victory over West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns depending on the 3pm results.

West Bromwich Albion are set to welcome back three experienced players from injuries.
Kieran Gibbs (hip), Gareth Barry and Dwight Gayle (both calf) are all available alongside Kyle Bartley, who is returning from a one match ban.
Leeds could name an unchanged starting eleven from the side who beat Wigan 2-1 as Gaetano Berardi (hamstring) and Luke Ayling (knee) remain on sidelines.
West Brom enter this match looking to recover from a dip in form which has seen them take just one point from their last four games and lose their last two away games 1-0.
Before then, The Baggies had been on a seven match unbeaten run with five wins and two draws but have kept just one clean sheet in their last ten league games.
They however are yet to not score in a home league game this season, scoring 22 times with 12 of those goals coming from Dwight Gayle (7) and Jay Rodriguez (5), who are amongst eight players who have scored at home.
Leeds are currently in fine form with only two defeats all season and have scored in each of their last ten league games, following a goalless home draw with Middlesbrough just before September’s international break.
Such is their consistency that their top scorer, Kemar Roofe has netted in his last three appearances with two of his three goals coming in second half.
- Leeds are winless in four of last five meetings with West Bromwich Albion.
- Across last three meetings of which all came in 2006-07 season, West Brom managed to put ten past Leeds whilst conceding five.
- Having scored 18 goals in a seven match unbeaten run, West Bromwich Albion have netted twice in their last four without taking victory.
This is always a tough match given West Brom’s quality but Leeds have the momentum here to go and get a win.
For that reason, Leeds will be favourites on paper but West Brom will view this as a chance to go into the international break with some momentum.
Prediction: West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Leeds United
Result: West Bromwich Albion 4-1 Leeds United
