As Football continues to reel from this weekend’s tragic events, four teams know that victory stands between them and a spot in the Carabao Cup Quarter Finals.
One of those events concerned Leicester City who will now play their tie against Southampton at a later date, but Bournemouth, Norwich, Burton Albion and Nottingham Forest are still in action.
Bournemouth start as favourites after a strong start to this season and will be confident of making it eight home games unbeaten.
Norwich however are flying high in the Championship and already have a Premier League scalp to their name, having knocked Cardiff out in the second round.
This therefore should be an open game because Norwich will be organised as they usually are, and ready to frustrate a dominant Bournemouth down the flanks.
In end, I can see Bournemouth just being too strong and will reach their third League Cup Quarter Final this decade.
Prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 Norwich City
Result: Bournemouth 2-1 Norwich City
Burton will be hoping to produce a cupset here as they meet a strong Nottingham Forest side in this Midlands derby.
Many including myself would expect some goals here but Burton are unbeaten at home against Forest, with one goal scored in two meetings between these sides at the Pirelli Stadium.
Forest however has a habit of drawing games, making penalties very likely scenario but Aitor Karanka won here in this competition as Middlesbrough manager in August 2015, despite needing extra time to win 2-1.
A similar scenario is therefore a possibility but with extra time gone, I can see penalties coming here.
Prediction: Burton Albion 1-1 Nottingham Forest (Nottingham Forest win on penalties)
Result: Burton Albion 3-2 Nottingham Forest
