After a goal filled Saturday, Super Sunday focuses on the Capital as Arsenal and Chelsea return to league action after taking Europa League wins in midweek.
Unai Emery’s Gunners welcome Everton to the Emirates in the big match after Chelsea make a short trip across to West Ham United in the lunchtime match.
West Ham finally got off the mark last weekend with victory over Everton but Chelsea are unbeaten and with Eden Hazard on fire, this could well be a tough match for the Hammers.
What West Ham need to do is just play like they did last week and with the Blues having had their return flight from PAOK Salonika delayed by a day, this is a good time to capitalise on any little prep that they have gone through.
Chelsea however rested Eden Hazard in midweek so he will be a real threat here but they have lost two of their three previous trips to the London Stadium.
I can see a draw coming here personally because West Ham finally look ready to be dangerous contenders for the Europa spots, whilst Chelsea are experiencing the effect of midweek to weekend football under Maurizio Sarri for first time.
Prediction: West Ham United 1-1 Chelsea
Jake predicts: West Ham United 0-3 Chelsea
Result: West Ham United 0-0 Chelsea
Arsenal are adapting well to Emery’s style but Everton will be a tough test if Yerry Mina makes his debut, due to his impressive aerial ability.
Richarlison is also back for the Toffees so I am hoping to see them back to their level from opening two games, in which they were great on attack although defence is an on-going concern.
With that in mind and the fact that Arsenal are also yet to keep a clean sheet in the league, this could be an entertaining game, with fitness proving crucial in latter stages of match.
Although a draw here is probably a decent bet, the Gunners have ten different goal scorers (including own goals) amongst their ranks which could be the defining difference here.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Everton
Jake predicts: Arsenal 2-2 Everton
Result: Arsenal 2-0 Everton
