Derby County meet Leeds United at Pride Park in an early blockbuster Championship clash, as both teams look set to challenge for promotion.
Derby have their latest signings available for this clash with Martyn Waghorn and Scott Malone serious contenders to start.
Tom Huddlestone (groin), Chris Martin (abdominal), George Thorne and Nick Blackman are all ruled out injured.
Leeds are set to stick with the side that beat Stoke City last Sunday as midfielder, Stuart Dallas remains out with a thigh injury.
Last Time Out
Last weekend saw Frank Lampard and Marcelo Bielsa mark their EFL arrivals in style with victories.
Derby came from behind to beat Reading 2-1 with goals from Mason Mount and Tom Lawrence, after Jon Daol Booovarsson had put the Royals in front.
Leeds meanwhile saw off newly relegated Stoke City 3-1 with goals from Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez putting them 2-0 up by half time.
Benfik Afobe pulled one back for Stoke early in second half with a penalty before Liam Cooper wrapped up the win for Leeds.
- Derby are unbeaten in four of last five against Leeds (W2, D2, L1).
- This will be the fourth consecutive meeting between these sides at Pride Park with different managers in charge for both sides.
- Since Leeds returned to Championship in 2010-11, they have clinched just one win in eight visits to Pride Park (W1, D1, L6)
- Derby last won their two opening games in 2011-12.
Derby last week demonstrated true determination in coming from behind to beat Reading but Leeds are a whole different kettle of fish.
I expect Bielsa’s side to retain their high pressure attacking style here but it will be a tough game with omens stacked against them here.
If we get a winner, it will probably be Leeds but I can see a decent draw here.
Prediction: Derby County 1-1 Leeds United
