We have finally reached the end of the group stages as Groups G and H complete their final group games.
In Group G, Belgium and England are qualified but with one easy knockout path opening up, do they take second or go and win the group?
Over in Group H, Senegal and Japan just need draws to progress whilst Colombia must win, otherwise they will need to draw and hope Japan lose.
Senegal will go through with a point whilst Colombia must win or hope for a draw and Japan loss if they’re to progress.
Whilst Colombia impressed in their 3-0 win over Poland on Sunday, they don’t seem to have the same magic as they did four years ago.
Senegal meanwhile have been really surprising in attack and are capable of playing in different formations, as demonstrated when switched from 4-4-2 to a 4-3-3 last time out.
Now the question is, do they go defensive or maintain their attacking formation tactics?
Either way, I just feel like this will be a draw.
Prediction: Senegal 1-1 Colombia
Japan know that a draw here will do regardless of result in the other Group H game if are to reach last 16.
Luckily for them, Poland have nothing to play for and are yet to score let alone beat their Asian opposition.
Although Poland will want to avoid crashing out with a point here, I can see Japan going for the win in hope of winning their group.
Prediction: Japan 2-0 Poland
As the last qualified sides through and meeting at this stage of the group section, these teams will know the full paths available come kick off.
That however could influence how both sides approach the match because at minute, whoever finishes runner-up stands to face an easy draw containing mainly fellow European teams and possibly Senegal/Japan.
With that would come a quarter final against winner of Sweden v Switzerland then more likely Spain/Croatia in last four.
Add in the fact that Belgium are making mass changes unlike England and I think they are eying up that runner-up spot for themselves.
They also have just one win in 21 meetings against The Three Lions, which is something that they might try and deliberately play to their advantage with squad selection.
Harry Kane meanwhile is after that Golden Boot so will want to score some goals here, but I would like to see Belgium win this for tactical reasons.
Prediction: England 1-2 Belgium
With this being a dead rubber, I expect both teams to make changes here.
Panama were ripped apart by England and unless there is significant improvement, I can see Tunisia doing similar damage here with the likes of Wahbi Khazri, Ferjani Sassi and Fakhreddine Ben Youssef in their ranks.
I simply just see a comfortable Tunisia win here.
Prediction: Panama 0-2 Tunisia
