As everyone reels from an epic day ten of goals, day eleven promises more drama as England meet Panama before Group H finish off the second round of group games.
Japan meets Senegal in a crucial top of group match for the hopes of both countries, before Poland meet Colombia in the late game where defeat will send one side home.
England enter this match knowing that victory will see them qualify whilst Panama must win to keep their dream alive.
This is the first ever meeting between these teams so the opening half will be really interesting to see how both sides fare, especially with squad rotation mooted to be happening.
England will dominate attack but Panama did put up a brilliant defence against Belgium last time out in first half. More of same and I can see the likes of Kane and Rashford starting to get frustrated as the game wears on.
Ultimately, I am expecting England to eventually break Los Canaleros down in second half and get a easy win.
Prediction: England 2-0 Panama
Both sides sprung shock 2-1 wins in their opening games and know that victory here will almost definitely see them through to the knockouts. The other will have to scrap with at least one of Poland/Columbia for the final qualification spot.
Japan were the more impressive side out of both teams because they had to face a 10 man Colombia team for much of their opening match, yet managed to win despite conceding an equaliser late in first half.
More of same spirit here will give them a real chance but Senegal are unbeaten against their Asian opposition in three previous meetings (W2, D1).
Japan however have the same record from three World Cup meetings against African sides so this looks evenly matched.
Prediction wise, there is little to split these teams so can see a draw here,
Prediction: Japan 1-1 Senegal
Defeat here and it will be the end of the road for one of these Group H favourites, after both suffered shock 2-1 losses in their opening matches.
A draw here then it’s game on, especially if Japan and Senegal also finish level as it will put the final round of group matches on a knife edge, as a win for Poland and Colombia would put all sides on four points.
It’s also possible that all four could finish with similar records in that scenario to force a drawing of lots to see who progresses
That is something that none of the teams will want and even if the first Group H game finishes level, this one shouldn’t because we are yet to see a draw in this fixture despite five previous meetings and just one of those games didn’t see both sides score.
This is however their first World Cup meeting and with so much at stake, I reckon that we might see a competitive draw here if Colombia starts James Rodriguez.
Prediction: Poland 1-1 Colombia
