Group B takes centre stage on the seventh day of the World Cup as Portugal and Spain aim to get their first wins of the tournament.

Iran meanwhile know that a win over Spain coupled with a Portugal win will see them qualify for the knockout stage for the first time.

Sandwiched in-between those matches is the second Group A game as Uruguay meet Saudi Arabia.

Portugal and Morocco know that victory here will be critical to their knockout hopes.

Portugal impressed for much of their opening game against Spain in what was probably ‘The Cristiano Ronaldo Show’ despite Spain also netting three.

Morocco meanwhile conceded in injury time against Iran despite impressing defensively for much of match, so they will probably try and sit back soaking up pressure from waves of Portuguese attacks before hitting on counter.

These teams have met once before, at 1986 World Cup with Morocco running out 3-1 winners that day.

Sadly, I can’t see a repeat with Ronaldo in such fierce form and Morocco facing a right back injury crisis.

Prediction: Portugal 3-0 Morocco

Uruguay v Saudi Arabia

An Uruguay win here will see them qualify for the next stage alongside Russia and condemn Egypt plus Saudi Arabia to early exits.

For me, Uruguay were flat for most of Friday’s clash with Egypt before Jose Gimenez’s late header via a free-kick won it for the South Americans.

They need to be faster and more clinical here and if they’re, expect another rout for Saudi Arabia.

Prediction: Uruguay 4-0 Saudi Arabia

Iran v Spain

Surely they can’t can they?

Defeat Spain and Iran will qualify for the knockout stages, leaving the European giants facing an early exit.

The Middle East side gave a solid if unspectacular account of themselves in a lucky 1-0 win over Morocco but Spain will be a bigger test.

La Roja however have numerous threats like Diego Costa and Sergio Ramos amongst their ranks, so I can see them really going for it here.

As much as it would be amazing to see Iran beat Spain, I sadly am struggling to see it happening but feel that the score line will be respectable.

Prediction: Iran 0-2 Spain
