The final day of 2017-18 Premier League season has arrived with the battle for the last top four slot up for grabs.

Manchester dominate the top two spots with City finishing as Champions ahead of United, whilst relegation is all but settled with Swansea City set to join West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City in next season’s Sky Bet Championship.

Tottenham have all but secured third and accolade of top London club this season but Chelsea and Liverpool are battling for that fourth place, thus guaranteeing Champions League football next season.

Chelsea and Liverpool’s games are our main matches of this finale, whilst Luke Beaumont previews what promises to be an electrifying day as Huddersfield celebrate safety by welcoming Arsenal to Yorkshire, in Arsene Wenger’s final match as Arsenal manager.

Away from those games, there are seven other games taking place, so let preview them.

Burnley vs Bournemouth

Howe

This is a dead rubber for Burnley who can’t move from seventh in either direction but Bournemouth know that victory could seal another top ten finish.

The Clarets’ form has dipped with two draws and losses apiece from their last four whilst Bournemouth have won just once in same period, so I can see this being a open but quiet match.

With Turf Moor being a difficult place to go and nothing at stake, I can see a bore draw coming here in the ‘Eddie Howe derby’.

Prediction: Burnley 0-0 Bournemouth

Jake predicts: Burnley 2-0 Bournemouth

Result: Burnley 1-2 Bournemouth

Crystal Palace vs West Bromwich Albion

Both teams enter this match having won their last five and six respectively so this could be an entertaining game, despite West Brom being relegated in midweek without playing.

Whilst Crystal Palace have scored 8 goals across last two home games, the Baggies have taken a trio of 1-0 wins during their surge in form, making this a tasty looking game because could either see goals galore or a tight affair.

Although both teams will give it everything, I can see a decent draw here.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-1 WBA

Jake predicts: Crystal Palace 0-1 WBA

Result: Crystal Palace 2-0 WBA

Manchester United vs Watford

Manchester United will definitely have one eye on next Saturday’s FA Cup Final, so could Watford produce a shock here?

United definitely should win this without key players because they have lost just one of last ten home league games. Watford on other hand, are yet to win or even score under Javi Garcia away from Vicarage Road.

Don’t expect much here other than a routine home win.

Prediction: Manchester United 2-0 Watford

Jake predicts: Manchester United 2-0 Watford

Result: Manchester United 1-0 Watford

Southampton vs Manchester City

With safety all but assured, Southampton can confirm their place in the top flight with a point.

Lose and they need to avoid a huge defeat alongside Swansea win by similar margin, otherwise they will be relegated.

Manchester City meanwhile can become the first Premier League champions to reach triple figures by hitting the 100 point mark with victory here.

In recent years, St Marys has been quite an inconsistent ground for City with two wins, draws and defeats apiece.

Nevertheless, Man City will want to end the season as they started it with a win against a seaside based club but Southampton will survive.

Prediction: Southampton 0-2 Manchester City

Jake predicts: Southampton 0-3 Manchester City

Result: Southampton 0-1 Manchester City

Swansea City vs Stoke City

Carlos Carvahal Swansea

For Swansea, they must win and hope that Man City hand out a demolition at Southampton if are to overturn a three point and ten goal deflict.

Stoke meanwhile are down but won’t want to go down as the basement club and have the upper hand in this fixture.

Its hard to see how Swansea can stay up because they have avoided defeat in just two of last five meetings, winning and drawing one apiece.

Add in the fact that the owners seem resigned to the drop with announcements that two long serving players will be departing after this game alongside Carlos Carvalhal .

Stoke meanwhile have been damning in assessing where it went wrong with experienced players already publically criticising many recent signings.

That is bound to have the Potters riled up here whilst Swansea are probably contemplating who to move on over summer.

For that reason, I can see Stoke getting the win because the home players will be keen to perform for their place at the club, and that might be their undoing if pressure gets too much.

Prediction: Swansea City 1-2 Stoke City

Jake predicts: Swansea City 1-0 Stoke City

Result: Swansea City 1-2 Stoke City

Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City

Kane and Son.jpg

Tottenham know that they are playing in Champions League next season but can secure third with a win here over Leicester City.

Leicester meanwhile have taken just four points out of a possible 18 since beating Brighton 2-0 on Easter weekend.

Luckily they ended that sloppy run with a midweek home win over Arsenal so will be up for this game, as Claude Puel fights for his job.

And in good time too because Tottenham have only beaten the Foxes once in last five league meetings.

Wembley however has been a strong temporary fortress for Spurs, who have suffered just four defeats here in all competitions, with Harry Kane netting in 13 of his last 14 here.

The England international also seems to like playing Leicester, having netted nine times against them.

One part of my head is saying 1-1 draw here but the other says a late home winner.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Leicester City

Jake predicts: Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Leicester City

Result: Tottenham Hotspur 5-4 Leicester City

West Ham United vs Everton

Having arrived at their clubs mid-season, David Moyes and Sam Allardyce will want their clubs to end on a high as question marks remain about their futures beyond the summer break.

Whilst Everton were able to pull away to a comfortable midtable finish, West Ham had to fight till last weekend for their survival and can still finish above two of this season’s promoted clubs.

With nothing really to play for, a draw seems likely but Everton have avoided defeat in 18 of last 19 league meetings and haven’t lost at the Hammers since April 2007.

For that reason, I fancy the away team to just edge it.

Prediction: West Ham United 0-1 Everton

Jake predicts: West Ham United 0-0 Everton

Result: West Ham United 3-1 Everton
