The first legs of this season’s UEFA Champions League last 16 are set to be completed with two tricky ties.
Sevilla host Manchester United in Seville whilst Shakhtar Donetsk welcome AS Roma to Ukraine.
Sevilla vs Manchester United
This tie hasn’t even started yet and both clubs have clashed over ticket prices for away fans. Could that somehow affect the result?
Sevilla and Man United haven’t met one another before but both won their games at weekend by two goals, despite Sevilla conceding one unlike the Red Devils.
The Spanish side have already lost at this stage to English teams before, losing to Leicester City.
Man Utd meanwhile haven’t scored more than one goal per game from last 14 clashes with a club from Spain.
Paul Pogba meanwhile is returning from illness, after struggling to deliver in recent games.
Prediction wise, this should be competitive even if there’s a sparse away support and United have lost their last two away games in all competitions.
As much as I would like to see an away win, I think this will finish as a draw.
Prediction: Sevilla 1-1 Manchester United
Result: Sevilla 0-0 Manchester United
Shakhtar Donetsk vs AS Roma
Both teams went through the group stage unbeaten at home so will fancy their chances here.
There has been four meetings between these teams in this competition with Shakhtar winning the last three meetings.
Like I said in the draw analysis from December, I am not going to call this one but midfield could be key.
Prediction wise, although the Ukrainians won the last three clashes I can see a draw here.
Prediction: Shakhtar Donetsk 0-0 AS Roma
Result: Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 AS Roma
