With Huddersfield, Rochdale and Swansea through, the last replay of this season’s FA Cup fourth round sees Newport County travel to Tottenham Hotspur.
The winner of this tie faces a fifth round away tie at Rochdale so its all to play for at Wembley.
Tottenham are expected to rotate their squad here with Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose making injury comebacks.
Lucas Moura cannot make his debut here because he wasn’t registered for the original tie.
With a massive Premier League tie vs Arsenal on Saturday lunchtime, Harry Kane is expected to be rested here.
Newport are missing midfielder, Sean Rigg after he decided to leave via mutual consent earlier this week.
- Tottenham have played Newport at home twice, winning both by a 7-2 aggregate scoreline.
- Since November, Spurs are unbeaten at Wembley, netting 30 goals and leaking just six.
- Newport have just one win from seven clashes top flight teams and that was against Huddersfield at this stage in 1948-49 season.
Although Newport will go to Wembley fancying their chances, I can see only one winner here.
Spurs might of lagged to a 1-1 draw at Rodney Parade but on home turf, there will be no excuses for a repeat performance.
Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 Newport County
Result: Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Newport County
