This midweek sees the Carabao Cup finalists confirmed as Bristol City, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea await their fate in the second legs.
First up is Bristol City vs Manchester City at Aston Gate, where City come with a 2-1 lead from the first leg.
Bristol City could be without goalkeeper, Frank Fielding who faces a late fitness test after overcoming a groin injury.
Defender, Nathan Baker also faces a late fitness test after recovering from an ankle injury.
Manchester City is missing full back, Fabian Delph after the England star suffered a knee issue.
Captain, Vincent Kompany is in question due to a calf injury but Yaya Toure could feature.
Benjamin Mendy and Gabriel Jesus remain long term absentees.
Since their meeting a fortnight ago, both teams lost their first league games against Norwich and Liverpool respectively, but experienced slightly different fortunes at weekend.
Friday night saw Bristol City draw with Derby at Pride Park whilst Man City saw off Newcastle on Saturday evening.
Bristol City played well at the Etihad so know that this tie isn’t over yet.
Unlike most competitions, away goals don’t count till after extra time.
That means all Bristol City need to do is eek out a 1-0 win in 90 then hold in extra time.
Aggregate score will be 2-2 but by virtue of that away goal, it means that goal at the Etihad would send the Robins through to Wembley.
That would be a big ask given that Pep Guardiola is putting out a strong team.
Although I expect both teams to score, I can see only one winner given Man City’s form.
Prediction: Bristol City 1-2 Manchester City
Result: Bristol City 2-3 Manchester City (Manchester City win 5-3 on aggregate)
