After a hectic morning which saw Middlesbrough appoint ex Crystal Palace and West Brom manager Tony Pulis as their new manager, I take a look at how I think today’s game will go.
Last Time Out
Boro put in their best performance of the season as they managed to beat Bolton 3-0 away from home. It was the first time in over a year since Boro had managed to win away on the road.
The game can be best described as the Adama Traore show as the Spanish winger put in his best performance to date in a Boro shirt, assisting up Britt Assombalonga twice in either half.
Marvin Johnson scored a late goal on to wrap up the result as Boro ran out 3-0 winners.
After a much needed win against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, Boro will be hoping to follow the result up with another win today and climb into the play-offs if things go their way.
Bolton on the other hand won against second in the league Cardiff City on Saturday so will also be going into this game high confidence.
After the sacking of Garry Monk and the appointment of Tony Pulis today, the Boro side will be wanting to prove a point to the fans and their new manager.
I think Boro will have far too much quality for Bolton and will have a repeat performance of when they played earlier on in the season.
Prediction: Middlesbrough 3-0 Bolton
Result: Middlesbrough 2-0 Bolton
