This weekend’s football action kicks off with a Sky Bet Championship clash as Fulham face Wolverhampton Wanders at Molineux.

The last meeting here saw an epic 4-4 draw so could we see another thriller this time round?

Team News

Wolves have a full team available with midfielder, Romain Saiss back from serving a one match suspension.

Fulham have forward, Aboubakar Kamara unavailable after he earned an one match ban, after being sent off against Bristol City.

Lucas Piazon and Sheyi Ojo are still out with injuries.

Wolves on top?

Both teams have strengthened over the summer but Wolves look like they will dominate this match.

If look at the graphic above, the Cottagers have struggled away from home, comfortably losing out to their away opposition from corners to shots on targets as well as fouls.

They however have a better goal average than those who host them.

Now let move on to the actual head to head figures for both teams.

Per game average Wolves (home) Fulham (away)
Corners 5 4.29
Fouls 13 12
Shots 15.29 13
Shots on Target 5 3.43
Goals 1.86 1.43
Yellow Cards 1.57 1.14
Red Cards 0 1

If compare both teams directly without taking in their opposition like Footstats do, we have a quite a tight game on paper.

Both teams will probably score but Wolves’ shots and on target averages will certainly make them favourites.

Discipline will be tough to control if those fouls stats are anything to go by.

The yellow card averages are tight with just an average of 0.43 separating both teams.

That red card at Bristol City might just make Fulham that bit vulnerable,  the longer it stays 0-0.

Prediction

As previously said, this probably will be a tight game but Wolves look the real deal and I expect them to just edge this in another thriller.

Prediction: Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-2 Fulham

Result: Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 Fulham
