Today see’s Middlesbrough take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Last time out
The last time these two sides met Fulham ran out 2-1 winners after they faced each other in the 2016-17 EFL cup.
After taking the lead early on through a David Nugent header Boro bottled the game and were pegged back to 1-1 after a Julien de Sart own goal.
Fulham won the game in extra time after Christensen slotted home from close range.
The Cottagers will be hoping for the same again today.
Fulham go into this game on the back of a defeat.
After losing 2-1 to Burton Albion away last week the West London side will be hoping to put that defeat behind them and push on and get three points today.
The visitors on the other hand will be looking to build on some impressive form in recent weeks.
After starting the season with two wins and two defeats in four games since then Garry Monk’s side have gone unbeaten in five games in all competitions.
After beating Aston Villa in midweek thanks to two goals from Patrick Bamford, the former Chelsea man will be hoping to force his way back into the match day eleven after an impressive performance in the cup.
One man coming back for the Boro will be Martin Braithwaite as he returns to the squad from an injury, which has kept him out since the start of the season.
Fulham will be without skipper Tom Cairney.
The Scottish international is recovering from a knee injury and the game will come too soon for the midfielder.
I think this game will go the way of the visitors.
Looking too improve on a good start to the season, Boro will be hoping there’s too much firepower in their squad for Fulham to handle and I think there will be.
Fulham 0-3 Middlesbrough
Result: Fulham 1-1 Middlesbrough
