Carabao Cup fourth round draw round up

The Carabao Cup third round is now done and dusted with all the big teams except Liverpool through.

Which ties stand out as the highlights from this draw?

Chelsea vs Everton

This is the stand out tie from a relatively dull draw.

Chelsea normally dominate their league meetings but Everton won their last cup meeting (FA Cup QFs 2015-16).

Both teams will be wanting to win this cup given that the FA Cup will be tougher to get their hands on.

Ultimately this will be a proper battle and depending on squad, this could be a fun game.

Tottenham vs West Ham

As a London derby, this is a strong highlight and even more with Tottenham being the home team.

In recent years, West Ham have been at their best visiting Spurs but this is Wembley now though. Could that factor play a part in this cracker of a tie?

Leicester vs Leeds

Probably the most evenly matched tie because both sides got strong goal scorers across the pitch.

Leicester may have Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez but Leeds have Kemar Roofe and Samuel Saiz. Should both duos start, it will be front to see who is the stronger side because they both are probably similar in terms of how they attack the game.

Although unlikely to be picked, I think this could be the best match of the draw if get a proper thriller.

Bournemouth vs Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough have never won at Bournemouth so will be looking for redemption here after April’s embarrassing 4-0 loss.

They also met here before in the 1991-92 League Cup, where the Cherries won 3-2 on aggregate after drawing the first leg 1-1.

Bournemouth struggled past Brighton whilst Boro crushed Aston Villa to get to this point so an upset is possible against all of the odds.
