Monday 17th April 2017 was the glory day when Brighton secured their return to the top flight in over 30 years.
Friday 21st April could well be the night that the Seagulls fly off upwards as champions of the 2016-17 Sky Bet Championship.
If they want to go up in greater glory, they will have to battle their way past Norwich City first.
Norwich’s caretaker manager, Alan Irvine is expected to start Wes Hoolahan after resting him in their 3-1 win over Preston North End on Monday.
Midfielder, Alex Tettey is doubtful after picking up a back problem.
He won’t be the only absent one with defender, Timm Klose still recovering from a knee injury.
Brighton have no new injuries to worry about for the trip to Carrow Road apart from two notable absentees.
Shane Duffy and Sam Baldock are the only players missing from Chris Houghton’s squad.
Canaries to spoil party?
Brighton’s promotion party could well be spoilt tonight by the Canaries.
Norwich have the upper hand in this fixture at Carrow Road with just one defeat in their last 16 meetings here.
Houghton will have to break that miserable run if his side are to go up as champions tonight.
The Seagulls however have a chance to do the league double for Norwich for the first time since 1951-52 season.
Across his EFL career, he has just one defeat in a game where he scored. That defeat came at Hillsborough in December 2013 as a Leicester City player against Sheffield Wednesday.
This should be a true test of the visitors’ credentials to go up as champions but Norwich have been unpredictable lately.
The Canaries have scored in all of their home games since a 1-0 defeat by Preston in mid October last year. That doesn’t excuse their unpredictability in results though.
Expect Irvine to field a strong team in the hope of spoiling the away party. Brighton will however get the job done in the dying minutes.
Prediction: Norwich 1-2 Brighton and Hove Albion
Result: Norwich 2-0 Brighton and Hove Albion
