Tonight sees Manchester City head down to the south coast to face a declining Bournemouth side.
Defenders Simon Francis, Charlie Daniels and Adam Smith all face late fitness tests ahead of the match.
Goalkeeper, Adam Federici will play no part after being ruled out for the rest of this season with a knee injury.
Pep Guardiola has a full strength squad to choose from with Sergio Aguero hoping for a recall, after being on the bench for last two games.
Bournemouth need to rediscover the tactics that worked so well when Chelsea loanee, Nathan Ake was part of the team. City will be the first big team to visit Dean Court since Ake’s departure, meaning that the Cherries are going to find out if they can still cause problems for the big teams at home.
Howe should look to tighten his defence up or they could slip into the relegation battle, Jack Wilshire will be key in helping the home side keep their cool against the resurgent Citizens and creating chances up in the visitor’s half.
City’s away performances can be unpredictable but with Gabriel Jesus now in the side, they have been difficult to beat. Jesus will be confident of adding to his goal tally tonight against a shaky Bournemouth defence.
Manchester City will surely be favourites here but only Manchester United have gone to the Vitaly Stadium and comfortably blew the Cherries away so far this season.
Next weekend is the FA Cup and Bournemouth players will be keen to enter their fortnight break on a high with a strong performance. City however have a trip to Huddersfield before hosting Monaco in that period so will be more likely to keep something in the tank.
Back to tonight, both teams will want the win for different reasons but Guardiola’s side should have that little bit extra quality.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Manchester City
Result: Bournemouth 0-2 Manchester City
