Reading vs QPR kicks off a weekend containing three live Championship games.
Reading will be without Paul McShane and Callum Harriott for tonight’s match at the Madejski Stadium. They are still recovering from wrist and hamstring injuries respectively.
Queens Park Rangers are hoping to have a few players back for the match. Manager, Ian Holloway will however be elated to have loanee winger, Kazenga LuaLua available after signing him from Brighton till end of season.
Idrissa Sylla is set to return from a concussion but youngster Ebere Eze is a doubt following his Achilles injury. Michael Doughty and Darnell Furlong are hoping to be in contention after being recalled from loan spells at Swindon Town.
Jaap Stam will be hoping that his Royals can get back to their best after being hammered 4-0 at Manchester United in the FA Cup.
League wise, Reading have won 9 points from their last four outings. With the visitors facing a relegation battle, tonight presents no better opportunity to prove that they’re promotion contenders with a comfortable victory.
QPR will however be keen to get firmly into midtable now that they are also out of the FA Cup, after a home defeat at the hands of Blackburn Rovers. Across the same period, QPR have amassed six points from their last four league games and will be hoping for a third consecutive victory.

This is tricky to predict with so many factors in play, Reading might be third in the table but need to start winning Thursday night matches if want to really challenge Brighton and Newcastle for automatic promotion.
QPR might be in relegation trouble but will be looking to last season’s meeting, also on a Thursday night for inspiration. Both sides have struggled to score when met at Reading making this too close to call.
